Who We Are.
Men’s Arts Council (MAC) was founded in January 1967 with a mission to support the programs and activities of Phoenix Art Museum. For nearly six decades, MAC has brought together a dedicated group of members who share a commitment to supporting the Museum and contributing to the arts and cultural community in Arizona.
Today, MAC is made up of more than 200 members who contribute their time, talents, and resources in support of Phoenix Art Museum. Membership is by invitation only, and members are actively involved throughout the year in volunteer efforts during our signature events, and other activities that benefit the Museum.
MAC is perhaps best known for producing two distinctive annual automotive events: the Bell Lexus North Scottsdale Copperstate 1000, a premier vintage car road rally, and Copperstate Overland, a vintage off-road rally that combines exceptional vehicles with adventure and exploration.
Beyond these signature events, MAC members support Phoenix Art Museum in a variety of ways, volunteering their time and expertise while helping advance the Museum’s programs and initiatives.
Since its founding in 1967, the Men’s Arts Council has remained committed to its original purpose: supporting Phoenix Art Museum while creating memorable experiences that bring people together in support of the arts.
